Located in southeastern region of Pennsylvania, Penn Highlands Community College is a two-year college that offers many education opportunities to individuals hoping to further their education.
Their mission statement is to provide a quality and affordable education opportunities for learning that meet the needs of the students. Every student and employee of Penn Highlands is highly valued. The school has created an environment where students are encouraged and challenged to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Penn Highlands offers Technical and Career programs designed for students’ preparation to enter the professional workplace. Employees who desire to enhance their skills for career promotion will benefit from the A.A.S degree. The credits earned from the A.A. S. degree can also be transferred to a four-year college bachelor degree program.
Penn Highlands offers Associate degree programs in Accounting, Culinary Arts, electric, human services, secretarial, technical and many other career entry programs.
Penn Highland also offers an Accelerated College Education program that is in partnership with high schools. Advanced high school students can earn college credits from Penn Highland while they are still attending high school. These credits can be transferred to the degree program, which a student seeks to attain.
The college also hosts four divisions, Richland Campus located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Ebensburg Education Center (EEC), Huntingdon Center and Somerset Center along with admissions, Bursar’s office, dining services and financial aide.



The Riceland Campus is the main campus where the administration, financial aide and other student services are located.
The Ebensburg Education Center located in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania is a place where students can participate in one of the nine classrooms including three computer labs, a science lab, and library and conference room.
The Huntingdon Center located in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania provides students with management and general business studies. This center offers day and evening classes that can be transferred to a four-year college.
Business management and general studies are offered at the Somerset Center, which is located in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Classes are offered at this center day and night. The credits earned in these classes can be transferred to a four-year college.
Penn Highlands College is the leader in Workforce Education in the community. They hold distinguished honors in tech training, online classes, video conferencing, an understanding faculty and staff and easy registration.



Personal counseling is available for students who are under a lot of stress whether it is related to family or school. Students have a strong support system at Penn Highlands. Through career counseling they help students who are uncertain of what career they wish to seek, figure out what path they wish to take through tests and counseling. Students with disabilities will be accommodated at Penn Highland. Students do need to submit requests two weeks prior to the start of the semester so that their needs can be adequately met.
Penn Highlands is a college that offers many financial opportunities. Financial aide is awarded based on the financial need of the student. The college also offers student loans, grants, scholarships and part time employment. Some of the financial aide does not need to be paid back. Other forms of financial aid do require repayment.

Penn Highlands also offers online learning programs where students can earn credits while taking classes from their own home.
Since Penn Highlands is a two-year college they do not offer online living. The athletic department at Penn Highland consists of men’s basketball and women’s volleyball.
Penn Highlands College is constantly providing students with ways to be successful. They offer many different workshops where students can learn test-taking strategies. Listening skills, how to take notes effectively and how to combat test anxiety. These services are offered so that students can have a beneficial college career.
